Where is your alabaster box?

Mark 14, has it focus but i’ll
focus today on the alabaster box and it owner. In Verse 3b of this chapter it says
“…there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.”

For one to move to any destination, there must be a knowledge of that destination if not a purpose. Alabaster box lady knew who Jesus was and sought out his whereabout, she had thought about him always, maybe she even prayed to God to help him in his cause, for she knew through the Holy spirit what was to come within the following days. He’d always been in her heart else she wouldn’t have looked for him the way she did. Due to her love for him she looked for ways to express it and she came up with the ointment and the alabaster box. This was her best idea and Jesus knew it, she was no ordinary lady, Nah she wasn’t. One who used over a years wage maybe that was all she had left for a costly  ointment – spikenard.

She was one who did not let people’s opinion about her love for Jesus and her method of confession of that love bother her. Looking back at her personality I see a confident woman without shame , cause her love for him could not be compared to any other, A woman with a heart of Gold.

Alabaster box signifies one distinctive value in an individual peculiar to that generation. Her gift was unreserved, and honour exclusive.

Every individual have a potential, something in us put in there by God and one way or the other he’s done something for every individual on earth (1 John 2: 12- 14). We ought to offer him our offering daily in all our activities he requires Glory, Honour, Strength, Fear, Gladness, Worship ( PS 29 : 1 – 2, 96 : 6 – 9).

Nothing is too small to be offered. But just so you know their must be  a cost, a price must be paid  ( 1 Chron 21:24b) anything that does not cost you is not a worthy gift. He needs your Heart, Time,  Money, Love, Intellectual, Voice, Hands, Feet and the best of all we have with devotion. Make your choice now,Give him your best
