Taking our text from the Account of Apostle Matthew in Matt 13:1-9, 18-23.
The parable is about a sower(farmer)/(God) who went about to plant as he scattered the seeds (this represents the word of God), they fell on different paths (This paths represents individuals 💓)
Matt.13.4 – And as he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and ate them up.
Matt.13.19 – While anyone is hearing the Word of the kingdom and does not grasp and comprehend it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the roadside.
The first group of people came with a prepared 💓s. God responds to us when we call and if we aren’t prepared we won’t be able to apply the instructions/principles given by him immediately giving room for the devourer to steal it through procastination or forgetfulness.
Matt.13.5 – Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they had not much soil; and at once they sprang up, because they’ve had no depth of soil.
Matt.13.6 – But when the sun rose, they were scorched, and because they had no root, they dried up and withered away.
Matt.13.20 – As for what was sown on thin (rocky) soil, this is he who hears the Word and at once welcomes and accepts it with joy;
Matt.13.21 – Yet it has no real root in him, but is temporary (inconstant, lasts but a little while); and when affliction or trouble or persecution comes on account of the Word, at once he is caused to stumble [he is repelled and begins to distrust and desert Him Whom he ought to trust and obey] and he falls away.
The second group of people, receive the word with enthusiasm probably because they just heard the rhema 😆 for the first time or maybe they became charged by association (Their friends kept talking and living the Kingdom life) so current flowed in their direction.
At that moment the word had potential of thriving but because it didn’t have deep roots they didn’t understand and didn’t count the cost of applying the new principles they just heard, they easily changed their convictions when they’re faced trials realizing they didn’t bargain for the cross just the 👑.
The Crown comes with the Cross
Matt.13.7 – Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them out
Matt.13.22 – As for what was sown among thorns, this is he who hears the Word, but the cares of the world and the pleasure and delight and glamour and deceitfulness of riches choke and suffocate the Word, and it yields no fruit.
These group of people receive the word, they are indifferent and their outward stance shows they’re embracing the word but their inner man outrightly rebels against this word, choking and suffocating the word as it comes.
These people find it difficult to lay aside things that easily beset them…
They find themselves at a cross road not willing to posses a Conviction they could die for, they leave their walk with God to chance/fate.
Matt.13.8 – Other seeds fell on good soil, and yielded grain – some a hundred times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some thirty.
Matt.13.23 – As for what was sown on good soil, this is he who hears the Word and grasps and comprehends it; he indeed bears fruit and yields in one case a hundred times as much as was sown, in another sixty times as much, and in another thirty.
The fourth group of people had prepared hearts hence the word was able to take root, because the the root ran deep their growth was distinct and they brought different quantity of fruits some 30% some 60% some 100%, the different measure depends on how much of these ingredients Preparedness, deep roots and conviction the individual applied in their growth.
LESSON
WHEN THE WORD OF GOD COMES IT COMES TO DIFFERENT PERSONS HENCE THIER REACTION TO THE WORD DIFFERS
(NO WONDER SOME RECEIVE THEIR MIRACLE FASTER THAN OTHERS AND SOME GO HIGHER THAN OTHERS EVEN WHEN THEY’RE BOTH FEEDING FROM THE SAME SOURCE)
WHEN SHARING THE WORD WE SHOULD CONDITION THE HEARTS OF PEOPLE THROUGH THE HELP AND WISDOM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT SO THEY CAN GET THE BEST FROM THE STUDY.
WE CAN ONLY RECEIVE FROM GOD IF WE’RE RECEPTIVE, AND OPEN BUT FOR ESSENTIAL GROWTH WE MUST POSSES THE COMPLETE NUTRIENTS. (PREPARATION, DEEP ROOTS AND DISTINCT CONVICTIONS).
